I purchased the Moments of Life Mangalsutra this past September. It was designed by Jinal as part of my custom Mangalsutra. We set up a call, and she first heard what I was looking for (simple, elegant, nothing extremely traditional as I wanted to wear it with western attire). She then came back with a bunch of designs and I picked one. I love my necklace and frankly – wear it everywhere.
The reason for 4 stars (i wish i could have put 3.5) is that Jinal indicated that the piece would be done in time for my wedding. When I pressed her to ensure it was mailed early, she did not seem to understand my concerns and despite it all – I didn’t have it in time to wear it for my wedding ceremony. I understand that there are things beyond control however I wonder if she could have done more to ensure the item was shipped from India sooner.
I also felt that Jinal didn’t do much to remedy the situation. A small gift and heartfelt apology or card would go a long way but instead she called and indicated that she “didn’t know what else she could do” – it didn’t sit well with me.
My advice is for brides to start the process of ordering earlier than you think you need to (2+ months).
